365. Goodbye...

May. 22nd, 2008 | 11:37 pm

Well, we've finally come to the end of my project 365. But as I went through all my pictures I realized that I was suppose to end at May 17th (since I started in May 18th) so obviously I can't count. :P But I've managed to take 365 nonetheless. I had fun with although I wish some pictures could be better. So now I'm gonna print out my pictures and put them in a scrapbook or something.

So, what now? Shall I continue on but this time take better pictures? Or would you rather see something else, like a drawing/artwork a day or something? Maybe that will get me to make stuff cuz I'm slacking off right now. hehe

I just want to say thanks to everyone for the comments and I'm glad that I've inspired some of you to participate in this project too. Have fun!

364. Chicks

May. 22nd, 2008 | 11:30 pm

My mom kept hearing this chirping noise outside so of course I answered it was just birds but she kept hearing it so she went outside and discovered in a bush by the window a nest with some chicks in it. So I came and took a look and these little heads popped out and scared me. haha There's 2 I think, I tried to get closer but I didn't want to disturb it. I also heard that if you touch the birds or nest the mother will abandoned them, but I heard that's not true because birds have bad sense of smell. So aww, they're cute.

363. Hail!

May. 21st, 2008 | 01:02 am

Today it suddenly started raining but a few minutes later this happened. Hail! They were quite big too.

Pieces of hail. There was one shaped like a turtle. hehe

After that, my mom decided to make halo halo (a Filipino shaved ice desert) for some strange reason. No, she didn't not use the hail balls to make it. XD

362. curly curls

May. 21st, 2008 | 12:58 am

Mel decided to curl Ashley's hair for no reason since she never does anything with her hair other than ponytail it. Actually she was planning to wear it like that for her middle school honors program this week. Looks cute but that's gonna last only an hour before it goes flat. hehe

361. cannon

May. 21st, 2008 | 12:56 am

This is a canon displayed at my school. Our school used to be an arsenal during the Civil War, so yeah it's really old. That building in the back is probably one of the original buildings of the arsenal. But now we've got modern buildings built on campus but there's still a few old buildings of the arsenal. I heard one of them has a ghost of a woman who still waits for her lover who went off to war but never returned, and so she killed herself in that building. Freaky.

360. creaclip

May. 21st, 2008 | 12:49 am

Another contraption mom bought from QVC. It's like a level to make straight hair cuts you can do by yourself. It even has those bubble tubes like those real levels. But it actually works pretty good though. You clip it on your hair, slide it and cut along the edge of it. XD

359. Little Lion

May. 21st, 2008 | 12:46 am

Saw this cute pomeranian parked next to me while I was picking up my sister from school. It looked funny because it looks like it was shaved around its neck making it look like a lion. hehe

358. New & Old

May. 15th, 2008 | 11:09 pm

We got a new washer today seen next to our old dryer which still works. It's been several weeks since the old washer broke but at least since the end of last month since I've done my laundry. I should've taken a shot of the clothes piling up in the corner of my room. It was so big that we couldn't open our closet properly. Good thing I didn't take it, that's a bit embarrassing XD

357. Zoom in

May. 15th, 2008 | 11:05 pm

I found this little magnifier on the ground at school and played with it on my camera. This is just a magnification of the computer screen. The site is hello-online.org, a site I regularly visit.

356. Mushroom Kingdom

May. 15th, 2008 | 10:59 pm

Close up shot of a mushroom on our lawn. It's about the size of a golf ball but looks like a cream puff. XD

353. Quadruplets?

May. 15th, 2008 | 10:40 pm

Saw these 4 cars driving next to each other in front of us but I don't think any of them were together cuz they all went their separate ways in 4 different exits. XD

352. Kongradulayshuns! XD

Congratulations to my friends Diana and Kirsten for finally graduating college! (both in Nursing) It's about time some of us graduated. :P

351. Weeds

May. 8th, 2008 | 11:49 pm

We pulled up a bunch of weeds in the front yard today, we couldn't just mow it down cuz the poor excuse for grass hasn't grown much since the last time we mowed the lawn but the weeds were already a foot long. There's still the side and backyard to do. We probably looked silly wearing yellow kitchen gloves and digging in the grass with kitchen knives. XD

350. K-andy

May. 8th, 2008 | 11:44 pm

Yesterday my sister got a package from an online friend who stayed in Korea for a few months teaching English and has returned back home in Malaysia. The package consisted of some k-boyband stuff for my sis and many different kinds of Korean candies. There's some chewy candies, hard candies, chocolate bars (the funniest one is called Crunky), and stick gum of interesting flavors like pomegranate and coffee (of which I'm chewing right now). They're so cute looking we didn't want to eat them.

349. Ads in the air

May. 7th, 2008 | 11:47 pm

"More $$ for books at Spotted Cow" it says. That's the bookstore that competes with our school's bookstore. There's an airfield next to the school where little planes like that are kept so every end of the semester they fly out and advertise for the Spotted Cow. Well, it's that time where we sell back our books and get back less than half of what we paided for the book itself. hehe Mel just sold 2 of her books and one of mine and got back $141, which she says is less than what she had to pay for her microbio book alone. >_

348. Kame!

May. 7th, 2008 | 11:42 pm

I saw this plush turtle on the dashboard of the car next to mine and I want it! The car seemed to be covered with turtles, see the steering wheel cover?

347. Kimbap!

May. 7th, 2008 | 11:40 pm

I made some kimbap aka "Korean sushi" for dinner while my dad was outside BBQing. This is actually my 2nd attempt at making it and I have improved esp. at rolling it. The difference between kimbap and sushi is that kimbap doesn't use raw foods so it's safer to eat at room temperatures. So I made 10 rolls of it and though that sounds alot you'd be surprised how fast we ate them, at least half of those rolls that night.

Sliced.

I put a bunch of stuff in it: spinach, crab meat, carrots, cucumber, scrambled egg, takuan (pickled daikon), ham, and kimchi. XD Sounds alot but it's really good. I took more pics of the process and I might post them on my other journal like how [info]kimuuu documents her cooking adventures. hehe

346. Frozen Ramune

May. 7th, 2008 | 11:25 pm

I'm a bit notorious for giving my can sodas a "quick chill" in the freezer to make them cold only to end up forgetting about it and find it frozen days later. XD This time I put a Ramune bottle inside and forgot about it till the next day. I was worried the glass would shatter but luckily there's a bit of air on the top of the bottle's neck so the liquid could expand.
